A comprehensive program of treatment
Marian Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgical Services offer a comprehensive program of treatment. Offering leading edge technology, Marian has recently acquired state-of-the-art digital cameras for non-invasive orthoscopic procedures. Other services include treatment of bone and joint disorders, as well as diagnosis and treatment of simple and complex musculoskeletal problems including traumatic injury. Orthopedic surgical services are integrated with Marian's emergency trauma service, pain management, and rehabilitation services.
Marian's orthopedic patients are cared for by Board Certified and Fellowship trained orthopedic physicians, specially trained orthopedic nursing staff and surgical technicians. Their goal is to return the patient to the highest function of activity consistent with the patient's orthopedic impairment.
Orthopedic surgery at Marian may be performed as both inpatient and outpatient surgery, depending on the procedure.
Routine inpatient orthopedic surgery includes:
- Total joint arthroplasty of knees and hips
- Arthroscopic joint reconstruction of shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, knee, and ankle
- Repair and reconstruction of the knee
- Lumbar disectomy
- Open reduction internal fixation of the ankle, tibia, and other joints and bones
- Ulnar nerve repair
- Fractures, tendons, and ligament repair
Routine outpatient orthopedic procedures include:
- Arthroscopy
- Carpal tunnel repair
- Ganglion cyst excision
- Excision neuroma
- Bunionectomy
Physicians and staff in Orthopedic Services, as well as the collaborating staff at Marian Pain Management and Marian Rehabilitation Center strive to return the patient to the highest function of activity consistent with the patient's orthopedic impairment.
