Forefront of Medical Imaging Technology
Conveniently located with easy parking at 525 East Plaza Drive, Marian's Plaza Diagnostic Imaging outpatient facility is designed with the patient's complete comfort in mind. A supportive surrounding offers the latest technology including a 32-slice CT, 1.5 Telsa MRI, and a 4D Ultrasound and x-ray.
MRI and CT exam rooms are equipped with luminous sky tiles, translucent tiles giving the illusion of a view of the sky through clouds and trees. The décor provides a soothing effect, much like the experience of lying on one's back and looking up into the sky. Six board-certified radiologists and a licensed technical staff comprise the medical team at Plaza Diagnostic Imaging.
Medical Imaging Technology
The new Plaza Diagnostic Imaging Center also features a digital imaging system, a device that captures images without the use of film. The system, known as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), can store, display and transmit all types of digital medical images including CT, MRI and ultrasound. PACS is of great benefit to patients and physicians alike. It allows physicians to view medical images by use of desktop computer, giving doctors quick access to images, reducing film costs and decreasing the amount of film storage space needed.
"The doctors no longer have to travel to the hospital to view their patient's digital images. Now they can easily access the secure images from any computer by simply entering a unique user ID and password," explains Vickie Berry, Imaging Services Director, Marian Medical Center
