Help Support the Healing Process
In order to provide optional care for all patients, Marian staff members must ensure a quiet, healthy, and secure health care environment. The following visitor guidelines have been designed for the visitor's needs as well as for the patient's comfort and rest; your cooperation is appreciated.
General Visiting Hours: 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Visitors, including children, are limited to two people at one time. Supervised children under the age of 12 may visit up to 30 minutes. Additional visitors may wait in the Visitors' Center on the first floor. Exceptions may be made when a nurse determines a special patient need.
Nap Time: 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In order to promote the healing process of all our patients, nap time has been implemented throughout the hospital.* The purpose of nap time is to provide the rest and comfort our patients need, especially during the mid-day hours. All patient care services and hospital operations continue during nap time; however, our care and work needs to be carried out in an especially quiet and peaceful manner.
(*) With the exception of the Same Day Care Center, specializing in outpatient care services.
CCU:
Visitors are limited to two immediate family members. Two visitors per patient may wait in the CCU waiting room and additional visitors may wait in the Visitors' Center on the first floor. Exceptions to visiting hours and nap time are made at the discretion of the nurse caring for the patient. Due to shift changes and patient reports, no visitors are permitted between 7:00 and 7:45 p.m. Visitors are not permitted to spend the night in patient rooms.
Emergency:
To facilitate patient care activity, visitors may be limited to one per patient. Others may wait in the Emergency waiting room.
Labor and Delivery:
The expectant mother may have two adult visitors at a time. Siblings under the age of twelve may visit for 30 minutes with adult supervision. Additional visitors may wait in the Visitors' Center on the first floor. A telephone from the Labor and Delivery patient room to the Visitors' Center is available for the use of those waiting.
Pediatrics:
Parents and grandparents may visit at any time. Other visitors should follow the guidelines for general visiting hours.
